This shot is a lot of what I still love about photography.
Going out with no real plan, no direction, just trying to figure things out as they happen. That’s basically how I started with surf photography.
Things are different now. I think more about waves, timing, the ocean, and how to build a story out of it. But I still come back to this kind of approach. Simple moments, nothing forced, just enough space for your own interpretation.
Shot in 2018 in Indonesia with Anaïs Pierquet. Good times, no pressure, just shooting freely — and somehow those are still the images I enjoy the most years later.

I recommend using a reflective glass when framing as this gives the perfect contrast between the paper and the glass and looks absolutely amazing on the wall! You can choose to order the Print with a white boarder on each side of the print! The original size stays the same minus the 2cm on each side. Sometimes it makes the framing much easier! If you need a different size for your print, just send me an inquiry through the contact page and we can sort it out together. Almost any size is possible.
