Smoke & Mirrors I
Shot in Baleal on one of those mornings where the good light only lasts for a few seconds.
For maybe 20 seconds, the sun split through the mist into beams and rays — almost like sunlight cutting through smoke. The whole beach turned deep red, which is something you almost never get in the morning around here. Somehow I ended up in exactly the right spot when it happened.
I asked a good friend — and insanely gifted surfer — to keep walking after his session.
Small detail, but the hand-shaped pig under his arm really made the frame. Small detail..but had a big impact for me!
